The Alfa Romeo Giulietta name has been attached to three different production runs throughout the years. The original run (Type 750/101) went from 1954-1965. The second version (Type 116) ran from 1977-1985. The most recent model (Type 940) was produced from 2010-2020. Body styles included saloon/sedan, coupe, spider, estate, and, later, a hatchback version.
This, original run, 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider was purchased by the previous owner more than 40 years ago. It was stored indoors and kept well maintained throughout those years. Though it has been resting for the past several years, it was recently run and exercised properly. The 1975cc engine is an update from the stock 1290cc motor. The engine came out of a 1962 Alfa 2000 Spider and runs well but could use a minor tune-up and adjustment to the Weber side-draft carburetors. The 5-spd gearbox shifts smoothly through all gears, and the car drives well with newer Koni shocks. The brakes are good, but will need replacement soon. The soft top was recently replaced and there is no sign of rust anywhere on the vehicle.
